We believe a Coffee Shop is so much more than just a cup of good coffee, Jaques & Kristi have managed to strike a perfect balance in their offering. They have understood the Psyche that makes a coffee shop special. People from near and far pop in for the amazing, personalized service and sense of community that Coffee, On Clarence exudes.

From humble beginnings this little oasis has been ideal for hikers, cyclists, locals, tourists and of course - beloved dogs and the local baboons too.

There is a certain synergy between nature and comfort that Jaques & Kristi have managed to seamlessly tap into.

Jaques and Kristi moved from Pretoria to Betty's Bay in January 2016 after searching the Western Cape for an ideal place to settle. The uniqueness of the Overberg and specifically Betty's Bay resonated with them. "We were immediately attracted to the natural setting, the fact that you're never far from the ocean or the mountain and the beautiful coastline," says Jaques.

"We love being part of this community with its interesting, friendly and supportive residents. We truly hope that our tiny shop makes a small difference by offering good coffees, eats and quality gifts and souvenirs from our area," explains Kristi.

Both Jaques and Kristi come with business experience, with Kristi having worked globally in retail marketing. Jaques owns, and is the principal of, the Helen O' Grady Drama Academy in the Overberg - a drama school that forms part of the world's largest drama academies.
